Selina Trieff is a life long New York and Provincetown painter who has for many years split the year living and painting in both locations. In the early to mid 1950's Trieff studied at The Arts Students League, Brooklyn College with Ad Reinhardt, and in the famed Provincetown classes with abstract master Hans Hoffman.
Learning from Reinhardt and Hoffman, Trieff developed a mature abstract style.Later she developed a mystical figurative style exploring the existential self; which she employs today.
Trieff has had over 28 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions. She has paintings placed in the permanent collection of 15 American art museums.
